Helping Pets Feel Their Best!

                Flower Essences

Because PETS have EMOTIONS too!

Many people are familiar with the use of Bach® Rescue® Remedy, either for themselves or their pets. Rescue Remedy is only one of many products, blends, and brands of Flower Essences.

My experience with Flower Essences

I have been using Flower Essences for nearly 15 years, with myself, my animals, and other people and their pets. I took a course in 1997, which included information on the Bach remedies, and how to apply and use them. Over the years I have used the Bach remedies, Flower Essence Society (FES), Canadian Forest Tree Essences, and Green Hope Farm Flower Essences.

I now solely use the Green Hope Farm Flower Essences, since they have a great Animal Wellness Collection, and of course, people collection. What I love about the Green Hope Farm essences, is that they are not alcohol based - since both people and animals don't need alcohol. The Green Hope Farms essences are preserved in a base of Red Shiso, a Japanese herb that is a member of the mint family. Also, the essences are used by the caretakers at Green Hope Farm as well as all of the animal residence - nice to know that they believe in their products!

Why use Flower Essences?

Many of my animal clients' illnesses, ailments, or unbalanced behaviours may be rooted in an emotional upset that may have happened weeks, months, or even years before. If a Veterinarian cannot find anything wrong with an animal, you can be sure there is an emotional imbalance.

In Massage Therapy and Energy Medicine, we call this "Issues in the Tissues". For example, people are known to hold onto emotional trauma in their tissues and sometimes need help through psychotherapy, bodywork, or energy therapy to help release these stuck emotions. Animals also carry these same emotional traumas in their tissues. Because animals can't always tell us exactly what the problem is or was, I feel that Energy Therapies such as Reiki or IET, as well as Flower Essences can help to release these emotional issues.

When to use Flower Essences?

Flower Essences offer support whenever you or your animals feel energetically out of balance. They bring up solutions to chronic complaints, as well as situations of sudden trauma or illness. They are wonderful support for the mundane ups and downs in life, for any complaint or concern, big or little. They are also good to take before an anticipated change takes place, such as a move, a new baby, the addition of a new pet, etc.

How do you use Flower Essences?

There are many ways to use Flower Essences. Most people think that Flower Essences need to be given orally - this is not the case! Flower Essences are electrical information, and therefore need to be read by your body's electrical system, not just your mouth.

Your electrical system extends out from your physical body. That is the reason that you or your animal can feel when someone comes into a room, without seeing or hearing them. A way to understand this knowing, is that this being's electrical system has bumped into yours. So the Flower Essences need to be in your electrical system. Another way to explain this is that Flower Essences work more like Aromatherapy.  Aromatherapy oils can be around you in a room and do not have to be ingested.

Some ways of taking Flower Essences:

  • Put a few drops in your hand and rub under your animal's chin, rub onto ears, or rub into paw pads.
  • Put the essences in a spritz bottle, and spritz onto animal, it's bedding, toys, a room where the animal frequents, in their crate, etc.
  • Put a few drops in their water bowl, on food, or directly in mouth.
