Helping Pets Feel Their Best!

Ways to a Healthy & Happy pet

Relaxation Tip

Do you love music? Do you find music helps you to relax? Animals do too! However, the radio and certain forms of music that you may find relaxing, are not relaxing for your pet. Some ideas of the types of music that animals find relaxing: ocean waves, classical music, and other relaxation music that is good for people. There are also CDs specifically designed for pets. Search on the web for "Music My Pet" or "Pet Music". There are several options.

Music is great for multi-pet homes where some animals may be restless and this affects all of the other animals in the house. It can be played while you are away from home or even after a walk as a cue that it's now time to relax. You may find that the music also does wonders for you!

Healthy Food Tip

Food is the Fuel that Drives your Dog's Body! Make sure the fuel is clean and easily digested by your animal. Also the cleaner the fuel going in, the cleaner the output. The harder your animal's body has to work to extract the nutrients and the more toxins your animal's body has to process, the less energy your animal has to enjoy life and stay healthy!

Happy Behaviour Tip

If you want to change your pets behaviour don't tell them what not to do and especially don't visualize the bad behaviour. Instead, tell them the behaviour of what will make you happy and visualize that!

Focus on the Good (and not the bad) Tip

Whenever we think about something, we give it energy. If you constantly worry about things, you give them energy. When you give something enough energy, you can actually make it happen! Isn't that a scary - and also inspiring thought! Make sure you focus on the positive and not dwell on the negative. Debbie McGillivray, Animal Communicator

Exercise Tip

Too little or too much exercise isn't good for your pet. Focus on consistent daily exercise. Pets love to have schedules, and most of us people do as well. It helps us stay on track and get things done. If your dog participates in sports like flyball or agility, don't let your dog be a weekend warrior. You must condition your dog during the week with a variety of exercises to help them perform injury-free on the weekends.
